Celeste Wilson

Celeste Wilson graduated from the Utah Valley campus of the Utah College of Massage Therapy in November of 1999. Soon after graduation, Celeste secured a position as a massage therapist with Dr. Joseph Berg, a leading plastic surgeon in the Utah Valley area. Celeste was very anxious to work in the medical profession as she found it to be "a great opportunity to explore how massage [would] enhance the cosmetic medical industry."

Recently, Celeste relocated to Honolulu, Hawaii and now works part-time at a local gym and full-time at the Serenity Spa in the Outrigger Reef Resort Hotel, a full-service spa which opened recently. She sent the following letter to the Assistant to the Director of the Utah College of Massage Therapy Family of Schools.

"I work for a brand new spa in the Outrigger Reef Resort. We do poolside massage twenty feet from the breaking surf right on Waikiki Beach. Also, I am in the spa itself, performing body treatments, hot rock therapy, wet room therapy and Lomi Lomi massage… I am enjoying the beautiful environment, great people and steady work. My job at the spa includes full health and employee benefits plus excellent tips and commission.

"It's a truly wonderful work experience. It's great to be performing massage outdoors, the ocean is literally a stone’s throw away from the table – it's beautiful!"
