Anastacia Hodgson
Anastacia Hodgson graduated in September of 1999 from the Clinical
Career Track. Upon graduation she and her husband moved first to
Nashville, Tennessee where Anastacia attended a St. Johns
Neurological Seminar. Soon after, the Hodgsons moved to Raleigh,
North Carolina where Anastacia was hired as a massage therapist
in a medical spa setting. She also began a seated massage business
at an American Airlines Reservation Center and rented space one
day a week from a local massage therapist. "Before I knew it
I was getting a lot of clients and the need to expand was appearing
on the horizon faster than [I] expected."
After having built up a "sufficient clientele" Anastacia
and her husband, Richard opened their own massage business, Natural
Wellness Therapy in Cary, North Carolina on February 1, 2000. They
found a 5-room office and set up shop, "averaging a little
over 100 clients a month." Within the next two months, business
was booming and Anastacia found that she was working on 100-125
clients every month with more and more interest building as well
as a building waiting list. She hired three other massage therapists
and a Reiki Master. Having added the three other therapists and
the Reiki Master, Anastacias six-month plan is to have a client
base of at least 400 per month.
Along with the Natural Wellness Therapy business, Anastacia also
works on-site at a nearby, major hotel, where she receives clients
from the National Hockey League. Visiting hockey teams such as the
Ottawa Senators and the Boston Bruins have requested Anastacias
services as directed by their trainers.
The Hodgsons have adapted the motto "if you can dream it,
then you can achieve it," putting all of their energy into
creating a massage company that truly exemplifies this ideology.
"What the future holds for us is unknown, but with the support
from each other, the ideas presented to us at school, the belief
in a dream and the beautiful clients we have gathered we will make
our mark within this field of study."
